Remembering Forgetting | short film (2016)

A syncopated hybrid-documentary written by scholar, artist, and émigré Svetlana Boym. Her journey from the Soviet Union to the West, "short in time and cosmic in proportion", is a story of all refugees who spend time lingering in the waiting, filling arbitrary paperwork, before escaping the space between the past and the future. The film was posthumously finalized by Svetlana Boym’s collaborator, co-director Janna Kyllästinen.
